Born in Walton on Thames, l966. Jane was trained at the Epsom School of Art and Design, Central St. Martins School of Art & Design and the Royal College of Art.

She specialises in idiosyncratric hand painted figures representing a witty and uncluttered observation of the world. Figures that stand alone or placed in an architectural landscape are hand modelled allowing her the freedom to 'sketch' with clay and develop ideas during the making process. Jane's figures are not about specific individuals but are the personification of the stereotype or archetypal character. It is their anonymity that allows us to identify for ourselves familiar individuals from the local community.

Jane's work has been exhibited widely throughout the United Kingdom, including twice at the Victoria and Albert Museum in the 'Ceramic Contemporaries' exhibitions, she regularly exhibits at the Royal College of Art and the Affordable Art Fair with Lena Boyle.
